I got Chewbacca twice in a box and decided I will slowly build a deck around him. If Empires give Chewbacca a better pairing blue character, I will probably switch Rey out.
Melee Damage Focus Deck (note this is after the new errata so I removed Fast Hands and it never had Ammo Belt cause it made it too slow.)
Strategy, action cheat with Rey as much as possible cause she is most likely she is the first target. Very rarely she is not the first target. Every time they go after Chewie first, I get a win. Don't be afraid to get rid of Rey's dice (cause they are awful), but great for Negotiate, Loth-Cat and Mouse, and Guard.
Great Combos, Chewie's special with Rey's Staff, Jetpack, or Makashi Training. Force Throw is good, but since only Rey can take it becomes two discarded cards. Note, you are re-rolling Chewie's 2 side to save resources.
Depending on how the game will go and the battlefield choice, I will get the Millennium Falcon out. You can use it's special to bring back Electroshock (Palpatine really hates this).
This deck is weakest against FN-2199 and 3 Villain player list, especially with FN. Like in my SC, I got really lucky and did 8 damage to Darth Vader, but FN-2199 wiped out Rey so fast. Chewie finished off Baby Vader, but FN was just too strong.
Almost always beat Palpatine. I go about 50/50 against Vader Raider and Poe/Maz. Not great or perfect I know, but I am proud how this deck and the fact it is competitive.
Allows looking for improvements and suggestions!! I can only see Chewie getting better with the next expansion.
