Hard mulligan for Hound's Tooth, Personal Shield and/or Imperial Inspection. Ideally want to play Friends in Low Places to get rid of any Rend's before dropping Imperial Inspection. Pass on removal the first round or 2 if it means you aren't getting out a Hound's Tooth, Personal Shield or Blackmail. You need dice to make money (either through Unkar ability or just resolving). Always need to be setting up for that Buy Out, trying for at least 6-7 or more cards at a time.

General Tips:

  • Always take your battlefield if you win rolloff. We don't care if they have shields
  • If you do get initiative on a turn, roll Thrawn out first to get rid of pesky cards like Rend, Vibroknife, BD-1 Cutter Vibro-AX, "Fair" Trade and if against blue villain, Abandon All Hope. Having a die out in the pool for He Doesn't Like You helps a lot too
  • Against decks that have a "main" character (Cad/X, Sabine/X, Mace/X, Vader/X, Palp), try to get to Prized Possession + Detention Center out ASAP. Locking out those big character dice can easily win you the game. Don't be afraid to trigger Detention Center even if they can remove if it means saving 3 or more damage

Possible Card Swaps (Depending on your meta):

  • Dodge, Sound The Alarm and Fall Back are good choices if you are seeing a lot of vehicle/support decks, or just high volume upgrade decks like 7th Sister/Servant/Servant, Kanan/Padawan/Padawan or Rainbow 9's
  • Rend and/or Probe can really help in the mirror. Rend is helpful if facing Force Speed or Sith Holocron
  • First cards out in my opinion: Doubt, Salvage Stand, Chance Cube,
