Red Castle 41

First time that I decided to share a deck and that's because I never saw it posted by another player.

Since the character was spoiled, I wanted to make a deck work with Ahsoka Tano - Force Operative. She's one of my favourite character in the Star Wars universe and was glad to see her finally getting in the game. About 3 weeks ago, I tried a deck using Luke Skywalker - Jedi Knight and Rey - Finding The Ways and really liked the ability of Rey to guarantee 1 damage each round. My friends rapidly caught on and started targetting Rey first instead of Luke. I then realised that Rey is actually better as a non elite character, that way your opponent will be less inclined to target her first which allows you to use her ability longer. Since Ahsoka is a end game beast, I suspected that all my opponents would go for her first. I suspected correctly, and when they didn't, it was just better for me. That's what I like about this deck, there is no correct answer for your opponent, both characters can hold their ground during the end game. Now to the deck and strategy.

First thing to understand: Ahsoka ability should not be used every turn, your priority should be to equip Rey first. Only if you have no upgrade in your hand should you trigger Ahsoka double activation. The last thing you want is to have nothing on Rey when Ahsoka fall. That would mean game over.

So what exactly are you looking for in your mulligan? You are looking for a way to have at least 1 shield on Rey. Your priority is Fearless: Mulligan hard for this card. If you get it first turn, equip it on Rey. As soon as she has Fearless equiped, that's an automatic damage and a shield each turn. Failing to get that card, you should aim for the other cards that give you a shield: Luke's Protection, Caution, Take Cover. If you get Fearless and Caution in your opening hand, you should give Fearless to Rey and then use Caution to give 3 shields to Ahsoka. As for Luke's Protection, you should only use it as a last resort. Put it in play, but use it only to full your shield before a Riposte (what I love to do is use Luke's Protection to get 1 shield on Rey, Activate her with Fearless for 1 damage, getting a second shield and drawing Luke's Protection back, use it again for a third shield and then use Riposte for 3 damages), or to protect you against the Running Interference loop or getting milled. Other than that, leave it in play. This deck needs as many card as possible in his hand each turn so you don't want to draw Luke's Protection every turn.

Other that Fearless, the other upgrades are for the end game on Rey. Your perfect setup would be Rey with Shoto Lightsaber, Rey's Lightsaber and Master of the Council. With this setup, you gain one shield when activating also dealing one damage, have Rey's Lightsaber for more consistant damage and ideally Master of the Council to allow a second activation, dealing another damage and getting another shield. If your opponent have no way to deal with shield, consider getting a second Shoto Lightsaber instead of Rey's Lightsaber to get 2 shields each activation, it will help you survive much longer, especially with the Master of the Council second activation. Since all of our upgrade's dice have modifier sides, I included a copy of Awakening to alway be able to use at least one of them (There is nothing worst than having a +4 on Master of the Council with no die to use it and no cards to reroll). Ancient Lightsaber is there for the possible healing and the +3 side (makes for wonderful use of Guard ), but quite frankly I could see it go out of the deck, I never really used it. Once you have a Shoto Lightsaber equiped on Rey, you should try to find a second blue weapon as soon as possible, even overwriting Fearless with the second one. Lightsaber Pull is there to help you get it faster.

Other than that, the deck includes a suite of cheap dice control: Confidence, Guard, Heroism, Sound The Alarm. Since this deck is low on money (priority is to equip Rey then to trigger Ahsoka ability), all events cost 0 ressource. I actually never had a ressource problem with this deck.

Regarding Ahsoka Tano - Force Operative double activation, you should never be too greedy with her first activation. There is nothing worst that to roll a blank side with her and not being able to resolve it before her second activation. I included one copy of Do or Do Not to help in those situation and garantee that if I roll a blank, it won't stay in the dice pool. If you want to be aggressive with her, do it during her second activation.

Lastly, the cards that I could see go out of the deck is, like I said earlier, Ancient Lightsaber and Synchronicity. Synchronicity is a really great card that I used a couple of time, but this deck doesn't have a big dice pool so this card is really situational, maybe a little too much for my taste. I could see it replaced by Rend if Imperial Inspection or Kylo Ren - Tormented One is present in your meta. I myself am more and more inclined to do it.

@Repulsar Glad you like it! Hope you have as much fun as me playing it!

@Riddle65 As I said in my guide, you should always use your ressources to equip Rey first. Only after that should you use Ahsoka ability. Since all your events cost 0, you don't need that much ressource.

I'm new to the game and I was trying to build a shield deck, something like this one. I have a question about Ahsoka. So, what I do is I activate her, roll, lets say 2 dice, lets say they are both damage dice. Now I have to wait for my opponent to do something, then its my turn. I can resolve that dice, dealing damage (let's say they are both melee damage), then its his turn. Then I can spend 2 resources to ready Ahoska again, is that how it works?

Thanks for the help!

@Figurefour13 Not exactly. You must pay the ressources right after activating her for the first time each turn. So in your exemple, what would happen is that you activate her, roll her dice, and then decide if you pay the ressources or not to ready her before your opponent take his action.

@Red Castle ahhh I see, so it's pretty much like: "oh I dont like the rolls that I just did, let me pay the resources, so I can reset it and reroll on my next turn, like that?

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it!

@Figurefour13 More like: Alright, once I'll finish resolving my Ahsoka dice, I'll reactivate her a second time in the same turn and resolve her dice again.

Figurefour13 1

@Red Castle oh wow! No wonder she's a legendary, you can do all that in one action! Amazing! Of course just for the first time in a round. I appreciate your help! Thank you!
