I managed to pilot this deck to a Top 8 finish at the NSW Regionals in Australia, a 50-man tournament that had a 7 round swiss before cut to Top 8. I was 5th in standings overall.

Going into the tournament, I had only played Destiny for a little over a month and Regionals was going to be my first tournament. I chose this deck, or rather, the deck was built for me after seeing it put up some results in previous tournaments. A typical Rainbow 5s list, we added some more removal in Doubt, and an additional gun in the Relby as a way to counter the mirror match as we predicted this deck would be one of the more popular choices. The choice of Ewok Village as the location over B'omarr Monastery was as a way to fight the shield heavy hero decks like Qui-Gon and the control decks like Jabba.

The tournament itself had a healthy mixture of a variety of decks, with Qui-Gon being the most popular to little surprise.

Round 1- vs Kylo Ren - Vader's Disciple/Darth Vader - Dark Apprentice WIN A relatively close game with lots of damage back and forth, I lost the opening roll so we were playing on Emperor's Throne Room. Ultimately ended up winning due to Vader dealing 3-4 damage to himself with his own special.

Round 2- vs Emperor Palpatine WIN This match was also really close due to the massive damage output of both decks, I chose to play on Otoh Gunga purely to place 2 shields on Bala Tik. The game ended up being won due to him hitting both Holocrons and his only Force Speed off a Force Illusion, and a Fair Trade that took him from 5 resources to 1.

Round 3- vs R2P2 WIN This match was against the eventual winner of the Regionals, but I somehow cheesed a victory. He needed only one damage to kill my last character after activating Rey but rolled 3 blanks, I had her on 4 health with a readied Backup Muscle, Tactical Mastery, rolled 3 damage and he had no way to heal. I had no business winning this match whatsoever.

Round 4- vs Jabba/Unkar Plutt WIN Another matchup I really didn't want to face, my Fair Trade was taken out of my hand pretty quickly but thankfully we were playing on my Battlefield so it wasn't as easy to be milled out. Unkar died relatively quickly with no upgrades and allowed Jabba to be suited up with a Fast Hands, Cable Launcher and Personal Shield. Game came down to me having no cards in deck left and 4 in hand. He had a discard 2 die in pool, I discarded to reroll and managed to have a single chain of modifiers that resulted in 11 damage in one hit, winning the game through his existing 3 shields and Personal Shield.

Round 5- vs Mirror WIN This was a complete wash, going second is vital in the mirror match as having 2 shields on Bala Tik essentially nullifies 1.5 dice worth of damage. I rolled fairly well and my opponent seemed to be on a slower version of the list so before any of her removal came online, 2 of her characters were already down.

Round 6- vs R2P2 LOSS I made the mistake of choosing my battlefield this game and it cost me dearly. I nearly had the damage to push through but my opponent had a Force Illusion to prevent lethal damage on Rey.

Round 7- vs Grievous/Kylo LOSS I felt this was a winnable matchup, however, Bala Tik died right before I could take out Grievous so I didn't get an additional activation for him. It came down to him eventually hitting a few correct guesses off of Kylo's ability and enough damage to kill Nightsister in one hit.

Overall, the deck felt super fast and felt like a combo deck that could chain actions together to kill key characters before opponents could respond. Going forward, the Enrages, Aftermaths, Logistics, Prepare for War and Boundless Ambitions are all coming out as I felt that they did not perform enough and slowed the deck down. In their place, we'll be playing 2x Truce, 1x DH-17, 2x Collateral Damage, 2x Force Illusion and 1x Intimidate to be able to reliably kill faster and focus fire down targets. In particular chaining Truces into Tactical Masteries or using Truces, Collateral Damage and Bait and Switches to create huge damage chains that would otherwise take 2-3 turns.

Great writeup of the tournament & congrats on doing so well on your first comp play event! I am loving Rainbow 5 atm and my deck is not so far off your own, I however only roll with backup muscle as my support for further weapons. I see a lot of resouce gaining in this deck, was that crucial in your victories to enable the weapon purchasing? Good job overall sounds a fun event with decent matchups too!

@simwi I rarely actually used any of the Enrages or Logistics in the deck aside from discarding to reroll and going forward, am cutting them for more action chaining to fast kill characters. The extra one or two resources I occasionally gained was so I could equip an ambush gun and then play Tactical Mastery to roll and resolve damage before my opponents can respond
