Here's the decklist I won the Store Championship of D6 Store here in Maceió, Brazil, the only country in the world where Empire at War and 2 Player Game are not legal to play yet.

So... this is a budget deck since it costs 1/3 of the price of a full Emo Kids deck as we know it. But what makes it cheaper?

1) No Force Speed: This is a staple upgrade for blue decks and Emo Kids doesn't escape the rule since it makes you play faster and be ready to claim Emperor's Throne Room - Death Star II to use Vader's or Kylo's special side, but, if you are trying to play with a budget deck, this is certainly a card you will run from it. And that's what I did.

2) Force Push: Usually players use Force Throw in its place but I didn't have it so I had to use an 3 cost ability upgrade that I got in boosters and there were 2 Force Push. Not trash actually, two 2 ranged damage side and two specials that scares people from rerolling and rerolling make Force Push a great solution.

3) Vibroknife: This is probably one of the most expensive cards in this deck but, believe me, if you use 2 Vibroknives in your Emo Kids deck, you will only play them in 10% of your matches. I'm not saying it is useless, but if you want to build a even cheaper decklist than this one by removing Vibroknives, don't worry except there are many Kylo Ren - Tormented Ones in your local meta.

Now, how did I achieve 6-0 with this budget decisions? I'll try to explain that as long as I write about every single match.

1st: vs. eJango Fett - Lethal Mercenary/First Order Stormtrooper/First Order Stormtrooper. Actually, I had never played against this deck before but it seemed pretty clear to me that, although he would be full of Redeploy weapons soon, I had to kill Jango first to don't get caught by surprise damage. That's what I did and, if I remember clearly, I didn't even need to put many upgrades in game. Against 3 character teams, it's easier to be faster to claim the battlefield so I didn't need any Force Speed at all.

2nd: vs Emo Kids: I knew this was going to be a hard match for me because the opponent was the winner of the store's previous Destiny championship and he had 2 Force Speeds in the deck. I knew I had to take Kylo's shield side to protect myself from those 3 guaranteed damage he'd hit me by claiming the battlefield. We both tried to hit Darth Vader hard from the beginning but I won basically because, when both Vaders where dead, my Kylo was more equipped than his. This made me hit 8 damage in the end with 2 Mind Probe specials.

3rd: vs. 3 Deathtroopers: Another 3 character deck so no concerns about do things fast to claim the battlefield. I believe there is no real strategy against this deck beyond trying to hit the Deathtrooper that has more upgrades on it. It's important to always keep an eye on your opponent's resources because of Endless Ranks. My opponent couldn't use it although he had it in his hand and I know that because, in the end, I got it from his hand with Kylo's special to hit 5 critical damage. It was pure luck but I believe I could have won anyway because when I killed the last Deathtrooper, both of my character were still alive.

4th: vs. Emo Kids: Another mirror match, this time against a deck with only 1 Force Speed. I don't remember if he could actually play it from his hand but I remember he focused on hitting damage on Kylo from the beginning because I purposely played both Sith Holocron I had in my starting hand on Kylo. In the late game, my Vader had only one upgrade but this was enough to turn him into a little monster.

Semifinal: vs. Emo Kids: Same opponent I played in Round 4. This time he focused damage on Vader but I managed to kill his Vader in the first round picking a Mind Probe from his hand with Kylo's special. After that, he knew the victory was on my side, I only had to go with the flow, using my Holocrons and rerolling to hit max damage.

Final: vs. Emo Kids. I know, another Emo Kids, this one is the same from Round 2, the one with 2 Force Speeds, so the strategy was the same. I managed to make my Vader live for one more round than his, this resulted in 5 extra damage which were crucial since his Kylo was more equipped than mine in the late game. In the end, my Vader was dead and my Kylo was with 1 health point. That's what I call an exciting final!

That's a wrap! Thank you for reading! I hope I have made my strategies clear and convinced you that even if your budget is low and your Emo Kids is not is its "full" form, you can still be a champion. Of course it's a dice game so it depends on dice too but, beyond that, what really matters is your knowledge about your deck, your meta and your opponents.

Have a nice day and keep playing! :)
