Thunder 309

This deck is very easy to pilot and is a real pain for your opponent to handle. Fin's special allows you to "heal" by removing damage from himself or Aayla and placing it on their characters. I went 3-0 at a local Tournament and will certainly bring this deck out again! Also, some small adjustments can be made to make this a trilogy deck! Huge fan of throne room but this deck plays poor on resources most of the time, so the outer rim is great fit to set up for your next turn.

Thunder 309

@Razelll After more play testing your suggestion has made a huge difference. Being able to claim and have multiple options of healing, mitigation (w/ Aayla) and with planetary uprising you can claim and deal 3 total damage with Finn! Thank you for your advice this is why this community is so great we can all learn from each other!

Maybe add some removal that's guaranteed? All the current stuff relies on luck. Plus, there's not really anything to lose by adding a 2 cost plot since you have the room.

I'd love to see a deck tech video on this.

@Thundershot Games Your welcome, and I agree.

Cool deck. Gotta love the special chains with Aayla into Finn to heal.

Why did you ont take any plot like fortify for example. You still have 2 points for characters and plots so it would do great I think

Thunder 309

@Icezox great suggestion this deck was put together fairly quickly but has much success when I took it to a local tournament and really wasn't even thinking about the plots but your completely right any advantage is worth including since we shouldn't leave them points unused! Thanks for the tip!

Depends how much use you're getting out of Force Wave and Autocannon but I'd look to swap those for Lightbows (maybe you just don't own those?).

Throw a ploy in as someone suggested.

Otherwise I'm keen to give this a go. I've run Poe/Aayla a fair bit and really like that deck so this should be fun to try

Thunder 309

Yea the lightbow I had was being used by a buddy of mine, but for sure about that include. Poe/Ayala is really strong did some play testing on TTS with that myself. Just feels good when you are able to heal damage from your characters and place it on your opponents with Finn. Thanks for the suggestions.

@Jorgyn Ryys I will be getting some game play videos up on my channel in the next couple of days check me out at Thundershot Games on YouTube.

I like this combo too, but it´s annoying with Finns modside and 3 different types of damage. It forces you into using guns with black sides which means DH-17 Blaster Pistol and Holdout Blaster in a decent price range. Despite the gazillion guns we have there´s no 'trusty' ones since AW.

Otherwise, the big thing about Finn is Locked and Loaded imho. 6 for 1 Resource is nasty and a iron clad gamecloser.

GenghisDon 100

Canto Bight Pistol might work better than Heirloom Lightsaber. always redeply, has a special to pair up with Emperor's Throne Room - Death Star II and has a higher possible damage output and going Auto Cannon and E-11 Blaster means you may need some extra help claiming those + side ranged damages. Just my thoughts....Now I have to find a way to get 2 Finns because I like the direction of this build.

Thunder 309

@GenghisDon great suggestions! Yea overall this is just a really fun play experience being able to remove damage on your characters and place it on your opponents is super strong.

I play a similar deck in finn / Luke but find it a little slow and resource starved at times. How did you find the speed of this one? With all the mixed damage it seems like it would lag a bit. Did you play many meta decks in your tournament ?

Thunder 309

@SinisterSmooth I completely understand what you mean but but at the same time damage is damage now manner how long it sits on the board. I get that you ideally want to resolve same damage together for greater output but there has been many times were Aayla is showing double melee, Finn has both ranged and indirect and my opponent would have to make those decisions as to what he or she thought was more threatening. Your opponent has to have a lot of mitigation to keep up with this deck. I understand about being resource starved its just the nature of this deck that is why i need to make room for Logistics and the choice the outer rim battlefield. As for the tournament there was 8 people so by FFG rules its a 3rd swiss. I faced a hero mill deck and was able to push out more damage by using planetary upraising. Second match was against a 5 die villain deck and I was able to heal and push out enough indirect to really hurt his characters. Finally I faced a Sabine deck and it was pretty sad how horrible he was rolling. I did some god rolls myself and he as unable to mitigate it all. I would not bring this deck to a regional as I think its not that solid but definitely had fun with it that night!
