Casual Competitive Report: 3-1 w/ a bye.

Game 1 - eBala-Tik - Gang Leader/eCiena Ree - Adept Pilot/Nightsister - Loss.

Tough opening hand against 5-Die Villain, I had no playable upgrades while their opening hand had 2 Backup Muscles and an LL-30. Round 1 and 2 he managed to mitigate most of my dice, and after killing Luke round 2 his Bala got to reactivate. Still a close game though, getting his Cienna to 6 damage and his Nightsister to 3, but those early Back-Up muscles swung the tide in his favor as the last round all he had to do for his first action was activate Backup Muscle to kill Chirrut.

Game 2 - Bye - Win

Game 3 - eHan Solo - Savvy Smuggler/ePoe Dameron - More Than A Pilot - Win.

This match was close as well, he took out Luke about the Same time that I took out Poe, leaving him with a 3 upgrade Han and me with a 2 Upgrade Chirrut. During the last round I was able to Force Misdirection 3 of his 5 dice which won me the game.

Game 4 - eMother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch/eAurra Sing - Deadly Shot - Win.

This was another close one, and this deck is tough as nails. I managed to force misdirection most of his Aurra and Talzin dice round 1 and round 2, and Killed Talzin round 2 to knock off his Holocron. He used Aurora’s ability to kill Luke, but that gave Chirrut an Heirloom and Rey Saber, while he only managed to get 2 Force Illusions and a Crystal Ball on Aurra. I managed to chew through his Illusions and put Force Illusion on Chirrut, and after he claimed on the second to last round I was able to Lightsaber Training for 6 damage. Last round after he rolled in I played Swiftness to Overconfidence to get out one of his Aurra dice, then used ambush for Hidden Motive to get his last die to not show damage. Since he only had one card in hand and no cards in deck, all I had to do was roll 3 damage between Chirrut, 2 Upgrades, and my R2-D2. Getting out Your Eyes Can Decieve you round 1 helped a lot as there where a couple times I was able to blank out damage or a focus to stop him. Mid game Close Quarters Assault took out one of his Witch Magicks which helped tremendously.

I realized after the fact that I couldn't play force illusion on Chirrut. That being the only game where that happened. Luckily it didn't matter as even without it I would have won the final game

Force Misdirection was MVP removal, especially with both Luke and Chirruts mixed damage.

Holdout Blasters were key for Chirruts ranges modifiers once Luke died, and having a 2 cost redeploy was amazing.

Your Eyes Can Deceive You didn’t get played if I drew it late game, but getting in down early game helped tremendously.

Crafted Lightsabers didn’t do much for me, as by the time my characters were exhausted, I no longer had the resources to play it.

Shoto Lightsaber didn’t get play because I always either got it too early or too late.

It Binds All Things always came to my hand too late to use.

All in all this deck was really fun and worked surprisingly well. I think I’ll switch It Binds All things for Lightsaber Pull, and switch out Crafted Lightsaber for Vibroknife. Let me no what you guys think and any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

I really like this deck idea. With this i would recommend switching out something for a single or two Sound The Alarm due to it being such a versatile card. Also i would recommend that you put in a couple of Handcrafted Light Bow since it would make Force Misdirection a'lot more consistent.

ReconVs 2

Why not use Ancient's instead of the Crafted? They even have a shield side on them to help your deck's theme.

ReconVs 2

I'm also thinking that Obi's saber would be nasty with 2 shield sides.

Cargo Hold - Eravana would allow you to move an Illusion to Imwe. I don't know if you are on a budget, but Handcrafted Light Bow would really help you with alongside a Force Focus. I've all but given up on the Shoto idea if I'm not using QGJ. It just never seems to work. I'm all about redeploy sabers and the lightbow. I've also started to fall in love with Stun Baton in melee that doesn't use Shoto sabers. If you ever hit somebody with 2 Stun Batons, you've pretty much wrecked their entire turn.

@ReconVs I don’t have any Ancients, otherwise I would use those over the Crafted. I like the Obi Saber idea though, I’ll probably swap out the Crafted for that!

@truth123 I might replace the Illusions with two Sound the Alarms since only Luke can benefit from Illusion.

@GenghisDon unfortunately I am on a budget but I’ll definitely swap out the Shotos for Stun Batons!

Hindrax 28

You can't put force illusion on chirrut

Just read your bolded statement.

Still looks fun for a local tourney, and Talzin/Aurra, what on earth is that meta you are in?

@Hindrax it's our Post-Regional Shenanigans Meta lol. Our groups last regional for the season was Fargo. But it'll look normal-ish again the closer we get to Worlds.
