Took 1st place in the Fort Wayne Store Championship at The Game Annex. I went undefeated on the day. Matchups included Dooku/Talzin, Luke/Rey, 6-die Hero vehicles, Cad/Snoke, Wedge/Rose/Partisan vehicles, and Poe/Cassian.

Was the 6 die hero deck mono yellow?

agentc13 215

@the BEAST no, it was eRose/eAnakin/eJarJar

Can I ask why you elected to leave out heirlooms or lightsaber pulls....especially if your only running 1 of each of the uniques pull allows you to get whichever you need

agentc13 215

@MrDSkis There are enough weapons in there that I didn't need more (i.e. heirlooms) and honestly as long as I could get a 2 cost upgrade to start it didn't matter too much which specific one it was. So no real need for a lightsaber pull. I could see having either of those in there, but I prefer going heavier on the mitigation than extra weapons.

Swiftness with Loth-Wolf Bond is a really cool combo you should try out if you plan to keep playing this deck.

@Razelll I tried building this deck, and I swapped Way of the Light for Swiftness. One resource to remove only one non-hero die I felt was too costly when you could be fast with rolls and resolutions

@KonyrDarkcloud that's something that I thought about, but my personal playstyle leans more towards heavy mitigation, if I can remove a 2 damage or base side that would be modified it can mean an extra round before having to heal with an ancient, so I get that die in my pool one more time. But I don't think that change is a bad one.

@agent13 I also put those in because I lack more than a few of the cards on your list (only have one Pacify and IBAT, no Ancient Sabers, to name a few), so looking at what I do have, mitigation takes a back seat to more aggro moves; action cheats and such. I’m still tinkering with it, leaning more towards mitigation

I played against this in the SC and it was a fierce battle, but my Wedge/Rose/Partisan lineup never felt like it was in control. @agentc13 piloted the deck pretty well; despite watching it played in an earlier round he got some tricky plays off on me. Looking forward to seeing how you improve this for future matchups! Always good to play against you!

Just out of curiosity, outside of the tournament, did you go up against Kylo/Pryce at all?

I think that adding #Heightened Awareness could be interesting to play.

KonyrDarkcloud 21

@bomberboy2606 I tried that in this deck, and I found that it’s cost slows you down, especially if you go up against a mill deck

agentc13 215

@Husher315 I tested a couple of games against it and won both. That was a friend playing though and it wasn't his main deck. It's a tough match, but winnable.

agentc13 215

@bomberboy2606 I don't have much trouble getting shields usually, and the cost is way too high just to trigger Rey's ability. So I wouldn't play it.

@agentc13 That is true...but I tried it and saved me two or three times from loosing.
