Round 1: eYoda / Cassian / Anakin2 (W)

Round 2: eBazine / Snoke / Veteran Stormtrooper (W)

  • Got the deck wrong at start... I was expecting a deck almost like mine, but I knew some cards he has because of one of our conversations a couple of weeks ago.

  • I believe he did 3 discards with Bazine turn 1 and 2 cards (two dice with discard but he Snoked the Trooper) turn 2. I lost some good vehicles but lucky me he didn't get his vehicles. I can't remember if it was turn 3 or 4 but he played a Bubble Shield and BT-1 and I got confused of what expect from the deck! Couldn't use Ciena (died soon) but Sebulba did the job getting Disrupts and DMG when needed.

  • At turn 4 I was not caring about the cards, so I killed Snoke, since he was almost dead and turned to the Trooper because I knew the player had Training.

Round 3: eSnoke / eThrawn (W)

  • Since this was the deck I wanted to pilot from the day the SC was announced, I knew exactly what expect and how to play against. Kept all mitigation for Thrawn's dice, Chance Cube and just one big support.

  • I knew he would probably call 0 or 1. He called 2 with Thrawn (probably afraid of Beguile) and I could play all my hand except for the vehicle that I used for rerrol, so I can get a fully unknown hand. He called 2 again and nothing again. Can't remember if I Delved this turn, but from turn 2 or 3 I already had 2 supports and he played a Z-95 Headhunter.

  • Since I was disrupting almost every time, he couldn't do much (another dirty work from Sebulba). When I build all my board, I focused on DMG and he only played another Z-95 Headhunter and managed to kill Ciena and just that.

Round 4: eCount Dooku / eMother Talzin (W)

  • Played against a lot last weeks and never managed to win. I believe I was 0-5 against this deck. The damage explosion and good mitigation killed Ciena turn 1 or start of 2, and never got resources to play my vehicles. The battlefield is a pain too for slow decks, like mine. Did some last day tweaks thinking exactly on how to beat aggro decks like this. I believe I won this game for three reasons... First one was the battlefield.

  • Turn 1 went as I expected: even I did mulligained for some mitigation, Ciena took 6 DMG (1 from Snoke's PA). Lucky for me I disrupt for 1 with Sebulba and he just got It Binds All Things and no Force Speed this turn (or Ciena would be dead). Force Speed came at turn 2. Snoke Sebulba for 3 disrupts because I knew he would play some 3 cost weapon on Dookan, but Talzin got the resources. He rolled a lot of blanks (I changed Feel Your Anger for Truce the night before =/ ) and after I controlled some dice he had, I believe, 2dmg, 1dmg and a +3dmg.

  • Second reason I won: He did 5dmg to Snoke and 1 to Ciena (2 health at this point)... So I rolled Ciena for resource, Snoke her. As he was passing, I played slow... Chance Cube.. Activation.. Snoke's 1 focus for 2 focus and 3 resources.. He passed again and I knew he didn't have removal! Got the resources, so he claimed, then I Delved, big support, Chance Cube, got resources, prepared the vehicle... but the second activation rolled blank. This moment I was confident that I could win... Turn 3 I was expecting Witch Magik at start, because Dookan was with 7DMG already and Talzin with 3 if not mistaken. God roll for me and lot of blanks again for him, and another control of his passive focuses.

  • Killed Dookan and now I had a Talzin with Heirloom Lightsaber and Crystal Ball only. I knew he had only 1 Deflect on his deck and he used to rerrol, so I was ok activating AT-ST to win the game.

TOP 4: eYoda / eHondo (L, 0-2)

  • Never played against before but I knew it was a very fast deck with a lot of special chains. I believe all his matches were over at 10min max, so I got worried because my deck didn't have lot mitigation for this kind of build.

  • First match: I did 4 cards for mulligan (kept only Overconfidence) and came back two big supports, All In and Truce. I got destroyed from the beggining of turn 1! He got a support that gave money to him when he rolls special, so my thought was "I have to mitigate his money"... He rolls Yoda and went back with 2 resources, so he did Cunning. He controlled Ciena resource dice and I only got Sebulba with 2 DMG. Ended this turn with Hondo with 3 DMG + 1 shield (Yoda's special) and Yoda with 2 shields and no damage. I didn't pay for 1 Hondo's special, so I ended: Ciena with 6 DMG and Sebulba with 4 (3 from Cunning and 1 from Snoke's PA). Turn 2 he did Force Wave and I tried to disrupt him afraid of more 3 cost upgrades, Second Chance, Hyperspace Jump and stuff like that. Hondo's specials for 2 resources, Cunning for Hondo's 3 DMG on Sebulba, Force Wave for kill Sebulba and Ciena plus 1 DMG to Snoke. Didn't conceed because I want to knew what expect for match 2. I managed to control his dice but took some damage... Truce, Delve and Bombardment that he used Illusion. Lost next turn.

  • Second match: I knew that disrupt wasn't a option here! My hand was Delve, Bombardment and 0 cost mitigation. Controlled all his dice, but the got two copies of that support, so I was expecting Force Wave again next turn. Lucky for me I put Bombardment first turn and barely no damage on my side. He did control the Bombardment dice but Sebulba did 3 DMG on Hondo (1 at the shield). Turn 2 he played Force Throw, so I didn't rolled Bombardment. =/ Turn 3 I got another Bombardment and Speeder Tank.. He got some damage (no specials from Yoda + Throw).. I believe I already lost Ciena and Snoke was near death. Rerroled his dice and got Yoda's special, so I didn't rolled Bombardment again and neither Speeder Tank (this one suffer from Deflect too). Force Illusion on both chars and I thought I lost the game again. Speeder gave 2 shields for Sebulba, I payed all Hondo's specials and he only had Throw and played a Wave again (at this point, have him 2 and 1 DMG for 3 on Sebulba was a good trade). I controlled Cunning and Throw and rolled 7 DMG on both Bombardments... 14 cards on Illusion and no deck, so I pulled another strategy: survive one more turn, but I had no mitigation left (only The Best Defense... that was useless).

  • I threw away all my hand and take last 5 cards knowing that was there Probe, Truce, Hound's Tooth (useless), Count Dooku's Solar Sailer (useless this turn (cost 3)) and that The Best Defense... (useless)... He rolled nothing good on Yoda and I got 4 disrupt on Bombardment. He rolled nothing good on Yoda's dice and upgrades, except 1 Yoda's special, so I dirupt him because of Force Throw. Nothing on Hondo too and I got Hailfire's 2 DMG. He discard to roll all his dice except that from Yoda and got 3 disrupts (I got 3 resources), a Hondo special, +2 DMG from Heirloom Lightsaber (I believe) and nothing more.

  • After 4 or 5 hours playing, I wasn't thinking straight and I forgot the Truce, so I called Probe hoping for two events... Was 2 events which make him thought that he was lost first time in this match, but when I did the calculations and saw the 3 disrupts, I knew that only a missplay from him. If I did the Truce before and Probe on ambush, all I need was pay one Hondo's special and he didn't kill Sebulba. He managed to do the right calculation of damage, I got only 2 damage to Hondo (3 would kill and he wouldn't resolve Heirloom's), and Sebulba was killed. =/
