I was looking for a way to play Kit Fisto and happened to have Barriss Offee. The main goal of this deck is to get upgrades out and then to turn Kit's dice to damage (and by extension Barriss's dice via her passive).

I'm not sold on all of the upgrades or on if honed skills is necessary. I might cut a few to make room for more cheap mitigation.

Any suggestions? Comments?

Have you thought about Treasured Lightsaber? Also Ataru Strike is really dope for this kind of deck. Beguile for some mitigation is pretty nice. I'd cut out Rey's saber, the vibrosword, and lightning rod for some Force Jump's and if you can get it Ezra Bridger's Lightsaber as the cost is lower. You really should think about Loth-Wolf Bond as well for some shield gain/double activation. And another upgrade you can swap is Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber as it lets you gain shield when you take damage.

Good suggestions! I'm slowly working on getting more lightsabers (as a group they seem to be really expensive!) I'm not sure about Beguile or even Alter as this deck is resource hungry. I like the options for shields although I was thinking this deck would be more aggro rather than defensive. Force Jump is a card I should add. What do you think about the balance between offense and defense? I'll probably try both and see what works.

PS. I'm hesitant to replace upgrades with many damage sides (Luke Skywalker's Lightning Rod, Rey's Lightsaber) with those with less (Ezra Bridger's Lightsaber) as Kit Fisto - Shii-cho Master really wants melee sides showing on his upgrades to increase survivability and I get more use out of my focus if I use it on character dice due to Barriss Offee - Studious Padawan's ability. Dropping Rey's Lightsaber and Vibrosword is a good idea though as I don't like the pay sides and the expense.

Its also worth noting that those big pay sides on the Rey's Lightsaber and Vibrosword are still useful for defense as I don't have to pay to block damage.

True on the defense using Kit's ability, I would definitely think to get Treasured Lightsaber as its a 2 cost lightsaber without the restriction of the exhausted character. Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber is so good. I run a Kit/Aayla deck at the moment (Sticking to trilogies of course) and I'm rotating through some things to test it out. I like your balance of Offense/Defense. I would love to see this playtested. I might clone this and play it today and give you a better idea of my thoughts.

BigCatDragon 35

I like the look of both of those lightsabers. I'd love to hear how it plays! (I won't get to playtest for a couple days at least)

I will reserve my comments on the deck (Just play tested it) Until after you playtest yourself, that way I don't influence anything with suggestions before you play it. I really think playing it yourself will give you some insight into the weaknesses.

Sounds good.

Nice, I like it. Just checking, you know that you can't use Barriss' ability when you play Conflicted right? Either way, Conflicted is a good card, especially with Kit's high aggro dice.

Why do you have two Vibrosword but only 1 Heirloom Lightsaber? The latter is surely better?

Also, I'd drop 1 Rey's Lightsaber for 1 Dagger of Mortis.

I too love Treasured Lightsaber. Yes, they're only modifier sides, but you have a lot of base and you can use them to block. The draw ability on play is so useful, even if it just gives you one extra re-roll, it has an unblockable , a side, plus it only costs 2 .

I personally don't like Ataru Strike for this deck, as I find it's too situational: it has to be a character die, you lose a base to play it, and you need to be sitting on s. I think even if you hit those requirements, it's not amazing value either. I think Conflicted is better value, as it's a guaranteed 2 damage swing regardless of the outcome. Even Finishing Strike is better I think, as you can play it on any side and it's unblockable.

BigCatDragon 35

Yeah, I just like Conflicted so much and with this deck extra either result is welcome as the health pool is limited.

The 1 Heirloom Lightsaber is do to limitations in my collection. As is the lack of Treasured Lightsaber and Dagger of Mortis. I'm looking to make the following changes:

-2 Vibrosword
-1 Rey's Lightsaber
+2 Treasured Lightsaber
+1 Dagger of Mortis/Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber (undecided)

And maybe:
-1 Alter
-1 Honed Skills
-2 Crafted Lightsaber
+2 Loth-Wolf Bond
+2 Force Jump

rogue6548 32

My preference is Dagger of Mortis over Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber. It has an extra 2 base side, and a resource side, is worth a potential 2 damage swing when resolved against a deck playing a blue character, and has redeploy. Though the latter is slightly better in a long game due to the consistent generation.

I agree with dropping Honed Skills. Force Jump is handy, though a meta call I think. Loth-Wolf Bond is excellent value: 2 and double activation simultaneously. Shame Swiftness has rotated out.

Neat deck idea! When Force Flow drops it might make an excellent plot choice for synergy with Barriss.

BigCatDragon 35

Thanks, that's true! I would have to test and see if the extra two focus (because of the ability) is worth more than the increased chance of winning theed and getting an extra resource at least first round to play a 3-cost saber on Kit.

prettykooltimes 2

I would do dagger over Qui-Gon. The reason I suggested that was for the shields, but if you're not really going for shield manipulation it's better to do the Dagger.

BigCatDragon 35

Yeah, I think that's the best call. I've been doing a little thinking (still trying to find time to playtest, crazy week), and I'm looking forward to the force flow plot from the obi-wan starter. I originally thought it looked pretty awful but in this deck it can be used to guarantee 2 resources first round which depending on what upgrades are drawn and if you win theed can result on a three cost and a two cost upgrade on kit in the first round which has the potential to be great ramp. Probably worth more than the increased chance to win theed.

prettykooltimes 2

That has potential, but there are also a lot of good cards in convergence to make this work better. I've been playing with a variant of this to see what I like best, still haven't confirmed a decklist I enjoy.

BigCatDragon 35

Which ones? I haven't been terribly impressed with a lot of them but am probably missing some nuances.

prettykooltimes 2

I'm liking Knighthood and Republic Jedi Armor of course, then there is always Force Pull not sure if I'd like the soresu combo in this. Yoda's Spirit is a decent support. Disciplined Mind is good for removal, Twin Strike to get under shields, then for a massive smack with Kit as he will likely have a lot of upgrades you can use Fatal Blow. Now these aren't "Throw them all in" this would be different routes you could take your deck with the new cards coming out.

rogue6548 32

I like Punch Dagger, which is a solid 1 drop for , I think Lightsaber Mastery may be the best plot printed since Armored Reinforcement, and Force Pull has an epic special for 2 resources

BigCatDragon 35

That's true. I do like the idea of Lightsaber Mastery with at least one Twin Strike to finish off a character trough shields when you need to.

rogue6548 32

And Deflecting Slash is mitigation that cannot be discarded from your hand

BigCatDragon 35

I did some testing (with a slightly updated list) and have been very happy with its performance! It's very dependent on getting a upgrade with sticks in the opening hand but often I find myself with more than enough upgrades in hand and use one to reroll. There is still some fine tuning to do. But the damage output is sufficient to consistently kill a character by round 2 at the latest (if it's a big character). I find it is better to keep kit alive if at all possible since a loaded up kit is terribly dangerous and tanky.

BigCatDragon 35

Hey all! Updated deck
