Redentor 109

The visual poetry known as "Attack of the Clones" culminates with a profoundly moving image: a young Boba Fett, clutching his father's severed head, taking a Vow Of Vengeance on the murderous Jedi who extinguished his childhood.

Some brave souls have tried to make our namesake card work to varying degrees of success - in the post-The Price of Failure/Leadership era, the power this card is far harder to unlock...

...until now! Make Zombies, bin zombies, and avenge yourself from beyond the grave with base damage sides that only get bigger and better with time! It's the biggest unintended flavor win of the year. And if that somehow doesn't work, making some money and hitting 'em with some Gauntlet Rockets is a fine Plan B. Resilient and Stifle offer our "combo" some protection, and it's a literal crime to not play our main character's subtitle.

Happy Hunting!

Played against Redentor last night on TTS, this deck is wild.

You do realize that once Old Daka is killed, the Nightsister Zombies are set aside, therefore, they wouldn't work for vow of vengeance? Otherwise, pretty cool deck!

I’m pretty sure any of her zombies aren’t counted as defeated. Thought Rules Reference stated they have to start on your team to count towards defeated count. If so, Vow doesn’t work.

@venator class star destroyer Yes, I realize! Thankfully, I've won many a game where the Old Hag bit the dust and Jango's dice still showed 7+ damage sides haha.

@revhellion see above - my read of the RRG is that clause only applies to Zombies Daka's death trigger sets aside (which never were defeated to begin with), not ones previously defeated.

@Redentor I don’t think there’s much to interpret: They say they are “set-aside Nightsister Zombies” created by Old Daka and in the RR it says set aside Nightsister Zombies are not defeated. If they only were set aside when Daka is defeated the rules reference would read opposite and say “Nightsister Zombies that are set aside are not considered defeated.”

So sadly this doesn’t actually work. My friend was really bummed about this clarification, too. However this probably prevents some potentially broken interactions.

@revhellion all chars that are defeated are set aside, so in order for your interpretation to make sense as rules clarification and not an errata, Separatist Landing Craft and Chief Chirpa's Hut would have to come with the same disclaimer. Otherwise, the more plausible interpretation involves Zombies set aside by the kill trigger - and this is important - including those that you started with. The reading that is limited to Daka's zombies doesn't make sense otherwise, as written

@revhellion I can't link images here, but thegandork (FFG rules tester, I believe) confirmed the clarification applies the way I read it.
