Don't take the title too seriously, it was just a casual tournament of 6 players :P Anyway, let's jump to the deck.

It's a Classical control deck where at the start you just try to ramp with Merchant Freighter + Smuggling Ring, in the mid-game you keep yourself alive with a combination of Heal+Removal while chipping away some damage and in the late-game you just destroy the enemy with a well-timed Admiral reset.

Use Valorous Tribe wisely and keep both your characters alive, Han Solo has priority over Tarfful.

Fortitude is great not only because it's pseudoremoval, but also because it doubles the effectivity of Feat of Strength on both characters. Also, while increasing Tarfful's HP you can prolong the use of both its own ability and the heal from Valorous Tribe.


Mulligan (in order of preference):

1) Merchant Freighter - hard mulligan for it

2) Smuggling Ring - hard mulligan for it

3) Vibrosword - Keep it if drawn

4) 0 cost Removal

5) Han Solo's Dice

6) Other


I know no one actually plays Smuggling Ring, but right now the meta is kind of slow and having it on turn 1 or 2 makes a big difference due to this deck having quite a lot of survability.

The Upgrade Package is very basic and I think it may need some tuning, but it's been working for me.

The Removal Package is rather small for a control deck, but I keep it that way because Valorous Tribe is that powerful, moving damage from one character to another is just too good.

The Admiral reset is the cherry on top because it's always an unexpected turn of events. I usually do it on Han Solo but it can also be done on Tarfful after Han's death by overwriting one of the redeployed weapons, ie A-300 Blaster or even Vibrosword if desperate.
