I've been playing this version of Vader/raider a bit and its been working well. Great die manipulation, Holocron into an immobilize on raider hopefully, or drop on Vader if you have to, for shields. less consistent than hidden in shadows/hunker down but less actions too. Gaffi stick special is very good for doing damage, even when you have a 3 melee/1 resource side on a die and no resources or you need them for events or something else. Backup muscle has been doing so much, especially when I need to get some damage through shields. undercosted at 1 resource in my opinion.
unpredictable has won me games when an opponent thinks I have no options for any +melee dice I've rolled. rerolling a Vader die, getting a melee result, then resolving it with the +2 and +3 lightsaber results to cut down Luke is a sweet win. :)
power of the dark side and It binds all things are both options I've tinkered with. im still debating putting one PotDS back in but the deck has been working well without.
