Nukesquad 3

Evolved from what I pulled from my first few booster and starter.

Essentially, I play the long game, doing some damage to whichever lower HP character is available while trying to keep Bala triggering as often as possible.

Due to the lower amount of dice cards, player must mulligan to get at least one of the cheap upgrades in hand. On the hunt is among the best starting upgrades with dice. A good idea is to also get at least one dice mitigation card (even Immobilize) in starting hand. Do mulligan if you don't see it.

Cheap dice to start out with, and a sudden Fight dirty to kill a character to trigger Bala Tik and pull ahead in terms of either damage or resources. The former is obvious, the later is for Crime Lord.

Crime Lord is obviously a win condition but I would often use it as a distraction. Sometimes dropping it on turn 2, replacing a comm link. Also use it to replace Prized Possession to play it for free, but do make sure that the character whose dice you took had activated before doing so. Crimelord (once played) either forces opponent to reevaluate target priority, or stop rerolling their disrupt sides to prevent crime lord from triggering. Use the money you collect to always threaten to crime lord, but always play removals or confiscation if it means reducing damage on your characters. Between, Bala and Jabba, there's usually enough focus on the table to threaten an opponent with the crime lord special (not to mention Cunning is there to up the percentage).

Sometimes, you'll be left with Jabba as a sole survivor and you're hoping that the opponent is close to decking out. Jabba with cunning can sometimes draw out a game for you to win by milling out an opponent or a surprise Fight dirty for the win. So don't give up, I've won by killing opponents with their own upgrades before.

Mos Eisley space port is among the most neutral Battlefields out there. A lot of faster decks that would claim it would not get very much out of it. Use it to bounce Hunker Down or just to get that last resource to roll out crimelord special next turn. Winning the battlefield is not a priority in most cases.
