Jyn / Commando is all about speed and getting value out of her cost reduction ability.

This deck wants to play 2 yellow events per turn and then claim to resolve shooting by the battle ground. Optimally this is a control card and damaging like Reversal or Let The Wookie Win. Yet, the damage output is a tad less than Vader/Luke/IG-88 etc, and as such it plays alot of control stuff to which is energized by the tempo cards.

The tempo cards Infamous and Fast Hands are what makes it tick. Always mull for at least one and aim to have both out. We look for turns like; play Ambushed Reversal through Infamous, play Hold Out, roll Jyn, Resolve a / and next turn Claim to resolve her dice and trigger Uprising.

A key card is Rebel which basically is another cost reduction, but hits the whole deck. It´s preferably used on Reversal, Uprising or Second Chance as these are the pivotal cards.

Gun(s) are mostly bonus damage and stepping stones for Second Chance on Jyn when things heat up. Most often I only play one and an Uprising.

Infiltrate is for another cheap stepping stone, resolve by Fast Hands as a control feature or to just lie there as a threat to their rerolls. It´s an effective psychologial hamper. Otherwise it fuels Loth-Cat.

Playwise; mull for one tempo card, at least one upgrade and control card. Always claim over resolving that odd / /

Also notice that you can shift the Commando for Admiral Ackbar - Perceptive Tactician and the Let the Wookie Win for Leadership and you´ll have another angle of attack through Discard and Ackbars ability. The major loss is the 2. I´m not sure which is best yet, but is happy to take advice :)

Can a deck like this really afford to leave out C-3PO and ammo belts? i think you would make amazing use of both. C-3PO can change that 2 discard on Jyn to 2 damage, and the ammo belts matched with second chance give you a lot more survivability than your average aggro deck.

but with a support like c3po your deck will have a loss of speed and I think this deck is all about speed!

I will certainly try this one!

C-3PO is one action to roll him in and one to use the special - at least one too many for that kind of build.

I agree that an early Second Chance and Ammo Belt might discourage your opponent from focusing Jyn down. Put redeployable stuff on the Rebel Trooper and let him take the flak.

I´ve tested C-3PO on TTS before the physical release and he´s just to slow. Ammo Belt is just a worse Rebel. I can´t be Ambushed and cost 1 more (you will use it with Jyns cost reduction 9/10 times).

As @timo93 says it´s all about speed. Claiming is a must because of Uprising which then becomes a gun that always hits.

I tried it yesterday evening and lost the roll off to a ePalpatine deck. Shouldn't you include Hyperspace Jump for those occasions?

Though I'm not sure if ePalpatine doesn't claim even sooner...

Scactha 888

Palp shouldn´t have enough dice to handle the control. E.g. Reversal is bonkers vs him and with Rebel we have 4 of them basically. I most often find that he falls by his own grip.

I'm guessing that if the cards are available, Maz's Goggles are an option for the Infiltrate slot?

Scactha 888

It´s quite possible, but as they do totally different things, one is a control feature while the other an offensive tool, I´m on the fence. We´re not balls-to-the-wall aggro, but more of a Tempo deck that wants to stay just ahead in the damage race while controlling the opponent.

@Scactha what do you tnink about replace Infiltrarse by Agente solitario?

Scactha 888

@chencho4b I could see that, it needs more durability in this version. But in general I´ve updated the deck into thi: swdestinydb.com

Well i have to say that this deck looked good and i try and try and try and try again and yet again, NOTHING came out of it. When i mean nothing i mean nothing. Damage is inexistant, the same goes for rapidity, control and the rest. tumbs up for the idea behind it but to slow and not enough damage. Back to the drawing board

Yea, it´s not a tier anything high deck, but it´s not slow. That sounds odd. Anyway, Jyn is overcosted for sure and 1/3 damage sides on 3 dice is a bad starting point etc., etc. It was fun to to try and make her work, but she´s no Poe2 or Hondo. Hopefully she rotates out and they make a new version of her asap. I have alot more faith in Zwirn that Litzinger there, although the latter gave us this awesome game!
