Fun Deck.

Characters

  • Chewy provides a nice health pool, while Maz has 2 focus sides for turning your dice and the amazing ability to let you resolve up to 2 dice when activating her. Ackbar also provides resource/focus sides and helps scare your opponent from discarding all his cards for re-rolls which can help in aggro environments.

Battlefield

  • You will not be claiming often, or even winning the initial roll off, so I thought a battlefield that has the least amount of impact would be in order.

Combo's

  • Ammo Belt and Second Chance on Chewy or even Maz, depending on situation, will keep them alive while your supports do the heavy lifting with the damage.

  • C-3P0 is one of the sleeper cards, I think, in this new set. Remove his dice to resolve any of your other dice as if they were showing a different symbol, while keeping the original value. You can do damage with this, disrupts, mill cards (Whatever the situation)

Strategy

Mulligan for C-3P0 early as his ability can help get resources to get your supports out, and his ability only gets better once you get launch bay on the table. Try to get as many resources as possible to get your supports in the game. Remember to activate Maz when you can get full use of her card ability. Supports other than C-3P0 should be rolling the majority of your damage.

You're deck is going to play VERY slowly. Subsequently your battlefield is an interesting choice. Especially when the best part of those uwings is that they can give you 4-6 shields a turn. Snap might also be a better choice than Ackbar as he means you'll be making it difficult for your opponent to get the battlefield. And if you take fast hands he can wipe their resources before they get a chance to spend them. Very powerful to slow them down.

Hey Chazz. Slow is the tempo this deck is going for with the ammo belt/Second Chance combos. The battlefield choice was to eliminate any advantage to your opponent other than going first, as this deck getting to claim first will be infrequent. The U-Wings special would be used for the damage rather than shields, although dependng on if the opponent got the battlefield, then I could see a situation where shields could come in handy.

I will have to do some play testing with Snap and fast hands. At first glance I would say Ackbar is good due to the resource/focus side of his dice + his ability which can be used frequently with combo's from C-3P0 and even launch bay removing cards. Snap though does provide an interesting dynamic though with resource disruption. I might have to play around with both and see what works well.

Thank you for your feedback!

This looks like the deck TinyGrimes posted. Did you borrow this from him?

@Donkeee I didn't see any other Maz, Chewy, Ackbar decks posted, but if you can send me a link and when it was published to the public. I'll link to it.
