Do you think this is stronger than or as strong as SOR Vader/Raider. I have been playing Vader/Raider with Bait and Switch, He doesn't like you, Fast Hands, and Backup Muscle. But there are several blue villain cards that I would like to try and cannot fit into the Vader/ Raider build. |
Are there any changes you would make to this deck given a full collection of cards, with the experience gained from the tournament? |

Force speed needs to be included in the deck. After watching others play this in the tournament the upside of resolving this special is absurd. In testing I have removed it binds all things and immobilize for two force speed. I am also making a change by adding decisive blow and taking out mind trick. This has been great as a one of during play testing. Trying this in a local tournament this week, i will keep you posted on the change and if it made any difference. |
Just need to find a couple Force Speeds then. Easy! It seems like Trust Your Instincts would be a strong candidate in a deck like this, but too slow I suppose. |
Round one - Vader Asajj - in this matchup I realized i had to be the aggressor and take out the opposing vader fast or be milled out by both characters triggers. I won this by milling out my opponent.
Round two - EPalpatine - Played sith holocron to cheat in my upgrades and used the guardian ability with controlling events to lock out palpatine's trigger. Winning with a no mercy for seven by turn four.
Round three - Jango bala trooper - stock list from the first set. This is still a great deck.
Round Four - EPalpatine - Again controlling his character die and early damage helped a lot. Choosing his battlefield to get shoields i felt was also pretty important. Again no mercy for 7 saved the day.
Round five - mirror match - my opponent choose to have a heavier event deck with 10 upgrades (including vibroknife). I choose to not play this card due to being able to no mercy for higher damage. In this match up i established early that upgrades were going to be key where as my opponent decided that controlling the die would be more beneficial. He would pitch equipment from the darth vader trigger which i believe cost him the game as i was able to guardian away his dice and then string together more damage from more sources of dice.
Top 8 played it out, with top 4 split.
