Old Ben - Obi fits in so well with mill. Focus really help with consistency required in this deck. He protects Padme with guardian. His melee activates Guard. We really need blue in mill for those sweet events. His ability is helpful even though our blue events are all free but 1 anyway.

Padme - Self explanatory. Everything she does brings us towards our goal.

Con Artist - User your abundant focuses to switch to it's special as often as possible to start the snowball.

Datapad - A little help with resources and hitting the specials we need on Con Artist.

Lone Operative - 2 Discard is strong and it keeps your Padme alive well after Obi is gone.

Maz's Goggles - The focus and resources we need.

Second Chance + Ammo Belt - Padme is our win condition. Gotta keep her alive.

Thermal Detonator - For the discard. Never use it's special, it's better to just trade it out for another Con Artist or late game Lone Operative.

All In - Helps you get the battlefield every now and then.

Determination - Turn Kenobi's 3 or an unneeded 2 to discard. Or anything to a special.

Electroshock - Always.

Guard - Conditional control. Works with Kenobi early game, dead late game. Needs more testing.

Krayt Dragon Howl - They're really going to have to think about if they want to keep that die when we already have them down to 10 cards in deck by turn 3.

Loth-cat and Mouse - Heroes version of He Doesn't Like You.

Never Tell Me The Odds - Late game god turn.

Patience - Combo with Ben's death or when you got real bad rolls and would like to claim this turn. Roll in -> patience everything -> control -> claim

I like the idea of Obiwan in a mill deck. Nice.

Might I suggest swapping out thermals for Ascension gun? If your battlefield is not in play, you can still use it's special, plus it has a 2 discard side. Can't see all in helping much but will try it out.

If you are trying to stack Con Artist triggers and other specials why not use Cunning?

@Piscettios Very solid suggestion. It even costs less.

I actually haven't play tested this yet, so I'm not sure how well 'All In' performs. The idea behind it was to be able to get the battlefield every now and then for the extra 2 discard. Now that you point it out I doubt we will get our battlefield very often with Padme's 3x zero sides. Maybe I'll replace this with Ascension Gun.

Another to consider, Close Quarters Assault. Roll damage with Obi, play the card for a free discard, reroll the damage die and hope for a focus.

I might add Jedi Robes. Provides Padme with two early shields and more focus on a decent die. Can be used with patience or overwritten for Con Artist.

HidaKenshiro 1

might i suggest cheat to get back patience

No One With The Force? What are you triggering when Obi-Wan dies? Just feels like you aren't getting much out of it currently.

I also think about adding Negotiate instead of loth-cat and mouse, way more bang for your buck, depending on what else you can remove, i suppose. Agreed about OWTF, if theres no obi-wan triggers, other than the focus, why even use him at that point?

@Piscettios Close Quarters assault could be a replacement for Guard for sure, Guard is too awkward without a 2 Melee value.

@willfrye I'm going on the assumption in 75%ish of our games we'll be getting the double shield instead of our battleground anyway.

@HidaKenshiroI actually haven't found myself using Patience much, dice are almost always active with all the character die Focus sides.

@tokyo0709That should have been something that came to mind first but actually Obi almost never dies first. I need more ways to keep Padme alive than just his Guardian. Heroism may help kill him faster, but what to remove for OWTF....

@NerdockNegotiate is definitely going in over Loth-cat, not sure how I missed that.

Overall, after some testing, the biggest issue is Padme still dies first in most matchups. Need more mitigation. My current iteration is:

x2 Ammo Belt x2 Ascension Gun x2 Con Artist x2 Cunning x2 Lone Operative x2 Maz's Goggles x2 Second Chance

x2 Meditate

x2 Bolt Hole x2 Determination x2 Electroshock x2 Heroism x2 Krayt Dragon Howl x2 Negotiate x2 Patience
