I used this deck to win my store championships. It ran well the whole day, as I didnt take a single loss. The closest game was against a tie pilot list, but I was able to roll enough damage with troopers plus ascension gun to kill him. The game did go to time but I won through damage by endless ranks on the death trooper.
I always would try to mulligan for at least one upgrade and a fast hands, or a imperial inspection. Most of the events are just for control so they are interchangeable.
There were times where I had to new orders away my battlefield if they were claiming more than me. This also helps when you have the ascension gun.
Lying in wait was how most games ended as well. The only change I might make is finding room for another endless ranks.
