The basic idea is to use Luke's tanky dice to keep Lando alive. With a little luck you can PA the falcon out turn 1. I generally will kit Luke out with a bunch of utility. The goggles and force throw can be a devastating combo. Luke is literally a swiss army knife when he roles in with his die potential. Pretty much the only thing I put on Lando is Second Chance and force illusions. The vehicles have really good potential in the way they interact with each other. This appeals to me because you can really decide what you want out of their dice and likely you will get it.
