I've really been enjoying this deck as there's a LOT of Focus, so you can consistently turn your dice to whatever you want, and L3-37 forces your opponent to go after the single-die characters first because he changes to a mod if he's taken out.

Here's how this deck faired in our regional tournament:

Round 1: vs Darth Vader - Terror To Behold/Bazine Netal - Master Manipulator - LOST - I made a couple mistakes and had bad rolls…which you can’t do with Vader. I beat a Vader/Greedo deck earlier in the week, so I knew I had a chance…but in the end, I only took out Bazine, no damage on Vader.

Round 2: vs Qi'Ra - Street Savvy/Han Solo - Independent Hotshot - WON

Round 3: vs Kylo Ren - Tormented One/Wullf Yularen - ISB Colonel - WON

Round 4: vs Qi'Ra - Street Savvy/Captain Phasma - Elite Trooper - WON

Round 5: vs Kylo Ren - Tormented One/Arihnda Pryce - Unscrupulous Governor -WON

This deck is based on the PAX Unplugged Trilogy deck from Arrowhead Gaming, but I changed a few cards out to work better in Standard. Namely, I added Vandalize, Shield Generator, Salvo and Friends in Low Places. I also have a couple other ships but rarely used them. I also added one Cheat on the rare chance the Shadow Caster might get discarded. And I changed the battlefield to Weapons Factory Alpha - Cymoon 1.

Opening round, mulligan hard for at least one Logistics and/or Motivate to double up on getting resources. I’ll also keep a Shield Generator if it shows up. You can almost always get at least two of these for the opening round.

Round One: If you were able to keep Weapons Factory Alpha - Cymoon 1, you’re in good shape to get the Shadow Caster immediately with your plot for only two resources. If I have a Shield Generator, I’ll always put it down FIRST to ensure my best ship doesn’t get vandalized. (But if it does, at least Cheat is hopefully near.) During round one, you should be able to get a couple of mods up on your Shadow Caster, and maybe even some spare resources. Don’t worry if you lose a Rebel Engineer the first round; that’s the cost of doing business.

Round Two: This is where the deck really picks up. By mid-round two, you should have three mods on Shadow Caster, and a couple resources to spare. This deck is HEAVY on Focus, so you’ll be able to turn all your die to resources and damage easily, hitting a character for minimum 6 damage from the Shadow Caster die--and with Triple Laser Turret on it, your opponent can't do much to stop it. Then, take those two spare resources and surprise your opponent by using R2 Astromech and readying Shadow Caster again. Half the time I’ve played the opponent has claimed already and can’t do anything about it. Then hit them again for another 6+ damage. Between your characters and BB-8, you should still have Focus dice sitting around.

Round Three: Roll the Shadow Caster once or twice more for the final kill, with help from Focus on the character dice.
