Credit to KyloSpren for the basic build for this deck, at least the first that I found personally.

I have been on a quest to make Qui-Gon viable and the current support meta makes that very tough, especially due to the low amount of money blue heros generates outside of a single weapon per turn. Satine is a great little engine that could and can hold her own if Qui-Gon falls, as we have seen with Mace/Satine + BtL, although this deck has more focus on keeping Qui-Gon alive.

The amount of shields this deck generates is outstanding and the ability to only use mitigation when it really is necessary, allows you to build your board state up very quickly and I can usually still claim the battlefield. This is a deck that plays the slow game, blocks the damage that comes in/heals with Bacta if necessary and waits for your opponent to be off-guard in the sense of mitigation and then can drop 12-18 damage in one round! It feels very Jedi to play it as you are waiting for your opponent to be "tired" and then you bust out and cut them in half!

The real star first and foremost is Custom Bandolier for the amount of upgrades and dice it allows you to put on Qui-Gon/Satine. Then, Bacta/Fatal Blow can easily swing the game and with Lightsaber Mastery, you have a Fatal Blow ready to be used at anytime. The less obvious cards that really pull their weight are Jedi Holocron, Pillio Star Compass, Renewed Purpose and Safeguard. The Holocron gets flak because it is not as strong as the Sith Holocron from Block 1, but it serves a different purpose. The card drawing mechanic is what is really strong here. You often need to find a few cards to develop your board state further then your opponent and since you are playing the slow game, that is very important. Finding a Soresu Mastery is just icing on the cake. Renewed Purpose gives the same benefit. Pillio Star Compass is sneaky good with Qui-Gon. If Qui-Gon has 3 shields and your Pillio has a +1 , then you can change any weapon on Qui-Gon or his character dice to a resource side and pull in 4 resources! Use it for shields and focus sides too for a great little card that can surprise your opponent while they look at your 6-9 dice and try to figure out the best ones to remove. Safeguard mid-late game when you usually have 1 or 2 Defensive Teachings out can be a huge swing and can be considered to be a mitigation card of 2+ dice when used at the right moment.

As far as actual mitigation, when your shields will not be enough, then you can use the other cards like Easy Pickings, Entangle and In The Crosshairs to shutdown the big plays they are trying to set up. Deflecting Slash is outstanding. Even without Soresu Mastery on Qui-Gon, it at least gives you the ability to stay ahead on actions. With Soresu, it is a monster, as 2 shields, activating a character and removal all for 1 is a huge value and having one under Lightsaber Mastery to be used at anytime is great!

I like it. Do you find Pillio Star Compass to be better than Mandalorian Vambraces? I can see the redeploy being useful. Have you considered Darksaber?

Mandalorian Vambraces is great for Qui-Gon with 3 Shields, but I find Pillio Star Compass to allow for far more consistency and resource generation, which allows you to keep in tune with the build up and damage output of the current meta. It really is undervalued and overlooked by most opponents, which you can exploit if they claim before you or if you know they don't have enough mitigation. Darksaber is a great card and I may have to give it a try soon!

Thanks for the shout out @daddy249kart! I wonder if you need all that removal when you are so durable. I've added a Darksaber after talking it over with the L8 Nite gaming guys.

@KyloSpren So far, with the amount of resources this thing generates, having blowout mitigation available whenever your opponent sets up/rolls into something big is great. Otherwise, hyper ago and support heavy decks will be able to put down the 3-5 shields and put some pain down on Qui-Gon before you can get built up. I am going to put in the Darksaber in too and thinking about taking out Rey's LS to make it fit.
