its a good deck but pretty meta dependant from what i found. against luke rey, vader kylo and the like its harder to pull out the win. its not hopeless but skilled players play around its a trap so its unlikely you get the free blow out. the sensor placement is great in those match ups though. resolving stuff like owtf 3 focus or vader special against himself |
Took this to a tourney tonight and went 2-2 one loss was a long hard slog vs Obiwan rey which like the luke rey decks are one of our harder match ups along with phasma guardian lists. The other loss was vs vader/kylo and was due to me rolling out for priority in the final round and not playing around deflect (had a field medic in my hand which would have allowed me to live through a deflect).
Thoughts i had, Suppression is back to underwhelming, i am currently testing flank in that spot to take on rapid deployment decks.
Surgical strike also never clicked for me, either i didnt draw it and even in the matches where there was a target i didnt need to use it. I feel that there may be too much reliance on removing my own ranged dice between these 2 cards. Surgical strike is back to being a sensor placement for now.
Rebel war room was far superior to Carbon freezing chamber imo, it allows rocket launcher in the deck which is great and allows the last snap dice to be used up. Also opponents are loath to pay for it as it usually isnt a high impact effect for most decks.
