Early draft, but this deck is a "thing"
Sabine's ability is amazing. Where's the "Thermal" stuff? Sabine doesn't care about "Thermal" stuff, she wants AMBUSH weapons and this deck has 3 different ones.
Why Ambush? Because you will use Sabine's ability to play an ambush weapon from the discard on her, probably overwriting so it's free, then you get to activate Sabine AND get another action EVERY TIME. It's Fast Hands on steroids!
Ezra is there cause I get 2 dice for 10 points, giving me that 4 dice start. Plus his addition to the damage can be ok - possible 10 damage round 1 just from character die. His die are also FANTASTIC targets for Loth Cat and Negotiate
Some other card choices: Energy Slingshot - not flashy, kinda like DH-17. Does help support Ezra's modified sides, but it's something you play early and replace later
Running Interference - this card is sneaky good. A ton of clever applications. Can help you win the race against other aggro decks when they have to wait to activate characters or resolve dice
Defiance - really great on Sabine, like a Field Medic + reroll all in one.
Endurance - another low key great card, if you're the aggro it lets you cancel out their dice control card. Great
Let the Wookiee Win and Threaten - similar cards, but they work really well in aggressive decks like this where they become fairly huge win/wins for you

It's not Ambush weapons that you look for with Sabine, it's "after activation" and "when you play" effects. DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol is the best Sabine weapon. Specifically, cycling two of them every time you activate for guaranteed free removal. |
If you add Infamous then you can make the thermal cards ambush though |
I tried Thermal Paint - it's just not that good. Thermal Detonator might be a meta call. I had Infamous and Running Interference for a bit, but it's really hard having two supports you want to drop in an aggro deck and I think I generally favor Running Interference more - for it's effect AND because it's free. |
Just a random question. Since Sabine effect says before activation. Does that mean if you play an ambush card your ambush effect would be her activation. Or do you get to activate and then have an extra action |
You get to activate and have an extra action. That's why Infamous+Thermal Paint is soo strong. |
I wouldn't fault you for using Infamous, but mostly for it's affect on all the abilities in the deck. It might still be the right call if Truce goes in the deck to get a little more resource generation. I tried Thermal Paint and still found it underwhelming - even considering that you can use it to ramp up. I think it's more effective just to keep it simple, get an Ambush weapon on Sabine, get one in the discard pile and start swapping them with her ability. And yes DreWooo, you get to activate THEN have an extra action. SUPER FAST HANDS! Always resolve all the damage you roll with her before your opponent can remove it. |
Oh and Ezra is obviously the forty year old virgin, look at that card art. Supposed to be a teenager, looks forty, that creepy look he gives Sabine....
