Han Snap is a pretty nasty deck in the right hands even in the SoR meta. It placed top 8 at the Canadian Nationals last weekend. I remember thinking when I saw Y-Wing that I needed to make a Snap deck with it. Baze Snap is interesting, but I much prefer the inclusion of yellow cards to the deck as red is rather lacking in any good die control.

Most of this deck is standard Han Snap stuff, good upgrades with ambush when possible, Defensive Position, Dug in etc. What I am really excited about, however, is Drop Zone and Y-Wing. Even without any upgrades, if you can keep your opponent broke and control the battlefield, the damage output from Planetary Uprisingand Drop Zone alone could take a few characters out. If Snap and Han's disrupt sides have taken away all of an opponent's resources like they should, a Y-Wing special (which can be guaranteed with C-3PO) can do some serious damage as well.

I have yet to playtest this particular deck so tweaking may be required, but on paper this seems like it could be devastating.

Having played Han/Snap extensively in the SoR meta, I can say you are too light on mitigation. Especially with the decks that are popular, you're still looking at lots of potentially big character dice and only FOUR mitigation cards! That's bananas.

Plus without Hold On!, there's a good chance snap might go down quick if you can't get off a Dug in. I'd drop Field Medic for Negotiate drop Poe Dameron's Blaster for a Maz's Goggles, drop Disarm for Friends in Low Places probably lose Unpredictable and C-3PO for two copies of Hold On! as cool as the 3po combo is with Y Wing, it doesn't help if you're already dead.

And without digging too far into what you're trying to do with the deck, I'd find a spot for Loth-Cat and Mouse too. Six mitigation cards might be enough as long as the choke game is strong and Snap rolls his 2 disrupt when you hit and run.

Anyway, have fun! Love these guys

@Dave Sharona Yes, everything you wrote I agree with. Except for dropping C-3PO; He can also change a die side to shields - for example 2 disrupt to 2 shields.

@Dave Sharona I'll definitely test it out and see, but I consider things like Dug In and Field Medic to be mitigation as well, putting the deck at 8. Add Unpredictable and Disarm there which can both be used for mitigation and it adds up. I'll be giving the deck a try on TTS tonight and recording some videos for Starkiller Base, so I'll see how it goes :) This is just the first draft, having only played one game of Han Snap in the SoR days.

The other thing is, if I'm relying more on indirect damage from Drop Zone, Planetary and Y-Wing, I can probably go lighter on the upgrades to add more mitigation if needed.

@NotANinja C-3PO is just too good not to include imo :) If my opponent is out of money, turning a 2 disrupt side into 2 shields, 2 resources or 2 damage is just so useful.

I see the point and I can't argue with C-3POs usefulness. He's been in every good version of Han/Snap that I've ever used.

Either way, it's going to be a fun build. I need to get my hands on the EaW stuff so I can get to testing this stuff :D

@Dave Sharona Yes, yes you do :) Let me know how it goes!
