This is a deck idea I've been playing around with for a bit. I was prompted to actually put this together by a discussion with a friend regarding the potential of BD-1 Cutter Vibro-AX in a Captain Phasma - Elite Trooper deck. This deck is designed to do similar things to a Phasma list, with the Seventh Sister occupying the role of the central character. I considered putting a Royal Guard alongside the Gamorrean as a second character with Guardian. While Magnaguard does not have Guardian, it gives us access to Red and enables some interesting options.
A few random thoughts that shaped my choices here -
- Imperial HQ is probably the thing I most want in my opening hand.
- I feel like I might be resource starved. I would have put Logistics in, but the Gamorrean and the ID9 both lack sides.
- ID9 might not actually fit in the version with MagnaGuard. It might be better suited to this deck concept when run with the Royal Guard.
- There is definitely room to play around with the melee weapons. Another copy of Vibroknife, or a Lightsaber could go in.
