The importance of the control of the battlefield

The key to win with this deck is claiming always first, even if doing that sometimes means leave one or two dies without resolution. Having the control of the battlfield allow us to deploy th powerful extra die of Death Trooper thanks the the Director Krennic - Cruel but Brilliant ability.

It also allow us to use some crucial events like Dug in to protect Krennic, or We Have Them Now in the late stages of the game.

Lockdown is very useful. We can play slower and delay the claiming process in order to reroll and get better dices when we have this card in our and and we can use it.

Battlefield choice

The extra resource we get claiming thanks to the battlefield Outer Rim Outpost - Nal Hutta it is also a very useful reward. So don't hesitate if sometimes you have to claim leaving some dice unrerolled. The common sense and the practice will point you out when it is precise to do one thing or another.

Another good alternative could be Moisture Farm - Tatooine, Secret Facility - Scarif or Citadel Landing Zone - Scarif.

The mission of the Death trooper

The only mission of the death trooper is to avoid Krennic being damaged (like in Rogue One, it is his bodyguard). To accomplish that you need to use Cannon Fodder, The Best Defense and Crash Landing.

The death strikes back

Another great thing of the Death Trooper is that we can use Endless Ranks on him when it is deafeated. To achieve it, we need a couple of Endless Ranks and a couple of Aftermath.

In definitive, using the cards to deal the enemy damage on the death trooper increase a lot the Krennic survavility.

The first hand

I like to have in the first hand some cheap upgrades like DH-17 Blaster Pistol or Imperial Discipline(very useful in Krennic) A two cost rifle it is aceptable too. Another thing I prioritace is free supports like Aftermath. The earlier you deploy it, the better. Lastly, Dug in is also a very useful card to use, because these shield grant you a major survivalilty of Krennic.

The early stages

I use to use all the money in upgrades on Krennic. Try to achieve that the Death trooper is the one who receive most part of the damage as we mention earlier.

This way, we can find Krennic in a round 2 or 3 being a monster and rolling 6 dices each time (the character able to roll more dice in the game right now, along with the Seventh Sister - Agile Inquisitor)

The mix of deathtrooper dice, along with the upgrade dice and Krennic dice is very powerful. The key in this deck is to make sure Krennic survive the maximun time posible to destroy your opponnent.

The late stages

If more you maintain Krennic alive, the higher are the chances of winning the game. But if the opponent get to kills him, don't worry, not all is lost.

Normally, when they kill Krennic, you will have at least 2-3 upgrades on him with redeploy like F-11D Rifleor Holdout Blaster. That along with the death trooper (hopefully he will be alive, if not make sure you use Endless Ranks before Krennic die) it is still very powerful.

You will have to try to kill the enemy with that.But luckly, we will have a last ace, Red Alert. That is a very powerful card when the trooper is fully armed that can help you to end the game.

I love this deck, it is thematic and I have played it a lot. It uses to win a lot of games once you master his strategy and cards.

Sadly, being mono color it has a very hard time against Kylo Ren - Tormented One, but works very well against the rest of decks in general.

It could be good to use training for the Death Trooper if you play Red Alert. Just an idea.
