The zero cost events are all very effective here. In a Qui-Gon deck, the humble Take Cover becomes 1 targeted damage. You're likely to meet the conditions for Synchronicity for 2 unblockable damage. Reaping The Crystal gets your lightsabers into play earlier. Caution needs no introduction. Do Or Do Not is highly likely to gain extra damage, shields (which can mean damage with Qui-Gon) or resources: all good.
Heightened Awareness combos with Ataru Strike and Riposte, which are also fuelled by Caution and Defensive Stance.
