This deck is surprisingly fast and hard hitting.
Rex - Clone Captain is the crux of this deck. He holds the battlefield allowing you to play powerful cards which require control of the battlefield, and making your Clone Trooper ability more effective.
Rex's Blaster Pistol and Wingman mean you should be able to activate all your characters in one action, and as an ambush if you've got Hit and Run. Using Rex's ability, you take control of the battlefield in the process, allowing you to immediately reroll any two of them you don't like. Plus, if you get to play on for battlefield (Fort Anaxes), you also get to immediately use the guardian ability on all your characters, helping spread the pain.
Training is a good play with the troopers as their character die (just one of them) gets a reroll, and there's a DH-17 Blaster Pistol in there because it's cheap and awesome.
Big dice removal suite:
Suppressive Fire: fantastic dice removal against ambush activations e.g. Force Speed plays, Tactical Mastery plays, or Cad Bane.
Defensive Position: multiple dice removal for one resource. Make sure you have the battlefield already if you're going to be relying on this one.
Superior Position: 1 resource for any die, but again, plan your battlefield control
Into The Garbage Chute: if you're planning on playing this, try to make sure you have a trooper with no upgrades to throw under the bus.
Blaze of Glory: great clutch play. You can remove any amount of damage with this card and overkill a Clone Trooper.
Defence:
Dug in: 1 resource for 3 shields, bargain
First Aid: a first round play if this one is epic. Otherwise, it's a solid alternative to Field Medic in a mono red deck
Resources:
Logistics: simple 2 resources to be had
Motivate: again, double up on resources, or give a weapon die a boost for free
Rearm: discard Training or Rex's Blaster Pistol for a reroll. Then play it for 1 resource.
Finally, Emulate is there for free dice focusing with your Clone Troopers.
Good matchups:
Kylo/Pryce: your opponent will never have the battlefield, so Pryce becomes a bit pathetic
Mill: free rerolls, so no need to discard
Bad matchups:
Fast aggro: if Rex dies turn one or early round two, the game will be over quickly. Shield up and use the mitigation, especially Into The Garbage Chute, and make sure you use your guardian ability if you have use your battlefield.
