Nicely done, congrats! 3 questions:

1) How on earth did you manage to beat the Padme/Boushh when he did 6 damage to each character round 1?

2) Which deck did you have the toughest time playing against?

3) How often did you play Mind Extraction?

MalaciousMawloc 151

@sageleader Round one I dropped Fist or Mega can’t remember, after that paying off Boushh special with Watto, Mitigation+A Mind Extraction after killing Boushh on Padmé round 3 leaving her with a Grievance Striker to finish the job against 3 characters. It was his BF so I had shields.

2) Hardest was the Padmé Leia cause I had the least experience with/or against it. After that Palps bc I was freaking out and intimidated

3) A lot(counting Trilogies it’s blending). 3 of the 6 games. I’d keep it as a 2 of for sure because it’s too important against the 3 Ps of the meta.

Cool thanks! How close was the Padme/Saw game? It's a deck I'm excited about playing and was happy to see it went 5-0. I know you can tank a ton of indirect so I imagine you just kept Snoke alive the entire game.

Nice job, I badly wanted to play you in the final but lost to Padme/Saw. I figured the Saw/Padme matchup would be a mismatch as it just can't do enough damage to the three-wides consistently. Congrats and good luck at worlds!

@sageleader You can watch that game on the recording of the Artificery’s stream... I rolled him over with a round 1 Fist. It was over in about 5 minutes...

Can you talk about the tactics behind your battlefield? Thanks! I'm also 100% convinced mind extraction is vital in this meta.

Well done, Padawan. We are quite proud of you. League has started, so we are all ready for you to come back and terrorize us all again.

Nice work. A few questions for ya. Any deck changes that you plan to make going forward? What was the mvp card in your deck?

RebelTraitor 259

Was allies of necessity legal for this event? If it wasn't would you replace anything with hired muscle?

MalaciousMawloc 151

@P0em I’d cut one ID10 for a second Vandalize. MVP was the Fist but secondarily the FoST... most of my non-indirect games all weekend people would target Snoke(aggro decks) or Watto(support decks) first so the FoSt was able to churn out Damage all game.

@RebelTraitorAoN was not legal. Id play either Fickle or Hired Muscle but it would require more testing, late game resources can get kind strapped with all the paysides.

Good stuff. How good was beguile? I’m Not convinced it’s needed currently.

Which characters did you target to kill first in each round?

Round 1-Han/Tobias

Round 2-Padmé/Leia (He got three Boushh special round one)

Round 3-eLor/eSatine/Rose

Round 4-Aphra/Sentinel/eGrievous

Round 5-Palp/Wat

Round 6-Padmé/Saw

How did the battlefield help you? Would you keep it going forward or run salt flats. Also would you change a ID seeker and a imperial officer for two handheld cannons?

Thanks

@BananaCrapshoot it is one of the few cards that controls multiple dice in standard. Sometimes one die is not enough for removal. You will have those rounds that your opponent has multiple dice out that are going to crush you, and removing one of them isn't enough. It is for those plays that you should play Beguile.

MalaciousMawloc 151

@chazz @Dantranblay I play slow and don’t claim very aggressively so I didn’t want to have a battlefield that would benefit my opponent if the won and picked mine. And there’s a few situations melting things is useful but mostly I wanted a bad battlefield that didn’t matter. I’d kept it.

And no I personally am not a fan of the LS1s, I understand them and the value but it’s just personal preference. Plus I love the Imp Officer.

@maddenman I’ll try and remember for you lol. Rd 1: Han

Rd 2: Boushh(Knew I could mind Extraction Padmé late game which I did)

Rd 3: Satine(turn off spot yellow hero/neutral removal, then Lor, but I did a lot of indirect)

Rd 4: I started realllyyy slow, ended up killing the Messenger first but they all had 3-5 health left by the time I killed a character

Rd 5: Wat (Turn off Focus and Best Defense)

Rd 6: Saw (Spot Yellow)

@MalaciousMawloc thanks for the reply!! One more question - do you have a standard first character you roll out (either Watto or FOST I'm assuming) round one or does it change based on matchup?

MalaciousMawloc 151

@maddenman Almost always Watto, protects from a Forsaken and turns mine on. Plus can give me an immediate ide ofnhow the round will go if I hit disrupt or resources... both put insane pressure on opponent

Ozmodon 1

What are your thoughts on Fickle Mercenaries?

MalaciousMawloc 151

@Ozmodon The event was before Hired Muscle was legal, but I really like both Fickle and Hired Muscle. After some more testing I think I'd play each as a one of, or 2 Fickle 1 Hired and Tutor based upon the match up

Ozmodon 1

Tutor?

Ozmodon 1

Have you played against the billionaires mill deck? If so how did it do?
