Now that Phasma's points have reverted back to her original printed 9, she's a perfect match for Maul and Retribution. Her 10 health and good die are the best you'll get on a 9 point red character.

This is my first Maul deck, and I'm undecided on a couple of details.

How many weapons do I really need? It seems like two copies each of Maul's and Vader's sabers would probably be enough, just to get one of them on Maul by round 2. But starting with a 2 cost weapon in round 1 and replacing it is that much better.

I'm not sure about the battleground, either. Is it really worth it to give up Phasma's die for a resource? If I've got a 3 cost saber in hand round 1, then it probably is. But I really don't have any weak dice in this deck. I really do want to get damage out of all of them every round. On the other hand, my roll off should be average, so it's unlikely to be my choice more than half the time. I'd be happy with shields if my opponents want their battlefield.

Which is also why I included Seizing Territory. This is a fast enough deck that I should be claiming regularly, so Seize the Day and Fresh Supplies both make sense. But I want to be sure that they aren't wasted cards if I don't get to claim every time or start with my Theed.

I'm also undecided on Fear and Dead Men. It's expensive enough, and not nearly as good as it would be for Vader. But 3 wide (or more!) decks are popular right now, so I feel like I should have at least one. I'm just not sure about having both. But this will increase the odds of finding it early against ewoks, when it matters most.
