Ideally you want a combination of Patience and Padme's to do the heavy lifting early on. I've struggled with mulliganing hard for Patience or not and have really come to the conclusion that you DO want to mulligan hard for it. Your ideal opening hand IMHO is
Getting 1-2 in those opening rolls should be possible. If you get 1 and 1 or more on Padme, resolve for free. If you get more than 1 , resolve for as many as you can. The goal is to go into Round 2 with 3 .
Round 2 using one of the action economy cards is paramount. Either Squad Tactics to roll both non-uniques, or Hit and Run to activate trooper and equip Cunning. With two more activations (hopefully poor rolls), you are setup for a Patience of 7 mill. If you have Command Center you will also likely get an early claim giving you another two (warning.. it's hard to get your BF with Padme having a 25% chance of rolling double zero, and a 75% chance of rolling one zero...).
Other observations.. If you have a choice between a symbol or patience, resolve 's first. Discarding from their hand is way more powerful than from their deck. Also, always resolve Scout's before true . The chance to first have a choice what to remove one action before they could play it is big.
I am struggling with keeping Diplomatic Immunity in here. It always seems like it should be a super strong end game card (for more control-ly games against non-aggro), but in a dozen games so far I've only played it like twice.

So I guess the order of priority for mill effects in a regular round would be(assuming opponent has a hand) Discard side Padme special(if extra resources) Patience Padme special Or would patience go before Padme special? |
I built a similar deck using Force Protection, Defensive Stance, and Dug in...that may be overkill. I wanted Diplomatic Immunity but it is soooo expensive. Hyperspace Jump is interesting and I may try that out. |

My problem with Force Protection is that TA blue only, so if for some reason the Padawan gets killed early it's a dead card. Diplomatic Immunity at least can be played on any character, even though it has such a high cost. Granted I haven't played the deck, so I don't really know how much of a target Padawan ends up being |
As for Padawan as a target, she is usually targeted third. Highest target is usually Trooper (as he has already likely taken damage from Guardian for an easy kill). Next is Padme as she is generating the most immediate threat for discard, then finally Padwan last. In all of my games I honestly can only think of one where Padme was the last character standing. Then again that might change with say a Padawan loaded with Force Protection and a Thermal Detonator (I haven't gotten a ton of use out of TD yet due to only having one and it usually being near the bottom of my deck) |
Have you considered Force Protection and/or Defensive Stance? The former helps keeps you in the game and has a 'Mill' side whilst the latter is just extra tankiness.
Overall I really like what you've done.
