Brewing a Trooper swarm deck for a Mono-Color event at Mission: Board Games (http://www.missionboardgames.com/) in Mission, KS.

I am trying to maximize aggression, while using whatever control cards that are available to me. This is why what was once Datapad is now Comlink due to its ability and I value the focus sides. Infantry Grenades is better than an IQA-11 Rifle here because both cards have functionally 3 damage sides and the disrupt on IQA-11 might as well be a blank. Infantry Grenades also combos with Nowhere to Run. Nowhere to Run with lots of blanks and a Holdout Blaster or Tactical Master in hand can be GG.

I used to run Endless Ranks but 5 resources is a lot to swallow when so many die sides have pay to damage sides. Also, it seems like a Win More or Lose More card. Plus, I cannot afford to hang on to Endless Ranks turn after turn, and I don't want to run 2. One could easily -2 Sweep the Area for +2 Endless Ranks, but I think having 10 cards that can affect the enemy dice pool is critical to always have an option each turn. Probe is also a good choice, if you don't like Sweep the Area. I find that Probe feels good, but doesn't help you win the game. This is especially true in a Mono-color format since the decks to beat are blue decks that usually run more Upgrades than Events.

This deck can easily be -2 First Order Troopers and +2 General Veers or +2 Phasma. Guardian is such a great ability and Veers has damage sides that are free. Veers also can combo with the TIE Fighter. If you are going 3 characters, do -2 Nowhere to Run and +2 Dug In. I can also see Imperial Armory being a good battlefield, but damage is how you win so I like pushing for it. Once you start losing Stormtroopers that is when you start claiming, so the Armory doesn't matter as much late game.
