This is the deck I took the the Store Championships In Norfolk VA @ Atlantis Comics & Games. It was a 25 person tournament. The Deck went 4-1 in swiss with its only loss coming to a Poe2/Cassian build that came down to a hit and run activation with a really good roll. Basic concept of the deck is very simple.... 50% chance to hit the sides you want to see. The other thing to note is the cost curve in the deck. 21 cards in the deck cost 0 or 1, combine that with "It Binds All Things" and resources really are not an issue.

The plot was picked primarily because of decks like Bane/Snoke that can grab 4 cards out of your hand before you even have a chance to respond. So the extra card ensures you will at least have a couple options after that.

I will add more Notes to this at a later time. Thanks for checking it out and let me know if you have any questions.

It saddens me that even Aayla Luke is better with sticks than force powers. Aayla is the perfect force power student and Luke can not mentor her.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on what you liked/did not like and what your W/Ls were.

The cost curve is beautiful though.

Any issues with Kylo, or did you just not face him?

Chazu 69

I did test against Kylo. In fact that was the first Match I played with the deck. It's not an easy match but this deck is much more aggressive than the Luke/Rey build and Aayla is just more consistent. It was not an easy game but this deck did pull out the wins against it and if thats its worst match up, i was not that worried about it going into this event in particular. I dont feel Kylo is currently strong enough against the field to warrant deciding not to play this deck. It is by far my worst match up but he currently has a couple really bad match ups in the format in my opinion.

Thanks for checking it out and let me know if you have any questions.

Here's a list of the games I played in the Store champ, and briefly how the matches went.

Round 1 - vs Snoke/5th Brother

This game was fairly straight forward. I controlled 5th brothers dice to keep him off the resource ramp more than the damage ramp. I used shields to slow down his damage. The biggest thing i was worried about was the rise again or the Dark Ritual. Burned down 5th brother end of round 2, and then I had to handle a Snoke with a force speed. 1-0

Round 2 - vs Luke3/Rey2

This was a tough match. I got out to a bit of a slower start and my dice started very cold. I managed to get through his Luke the same turn as he killed my Aayla. But I had also already put a couple damage on his Rey a couple turns prior. So I had a Loaded up Luke vs a geared Rey. This match went to time with the final round coming down to how damaged was assigned. He had a Dex's Dinner on the field, and ancient saber, with 2 damage on Rey. I rolled out 5 damage across 4 dice(all black sides). He missed his damage on the roll in, and I have 5 damage on Aayla with the Ancient saber as well. So i resolve 3 damage to Rey, so he can only heal 3 total damage and I still have 2 showing which is enough to win by damage done by 1. 2-0

Round 3 - Poe2/Cassian

This match was going to be super fast either way and we both knew it when we sat down. I had helped Eric build the deck the night before and he had playtested against my deck the night before as well. He nuked down one of my characters Round 2 and I killed Cassian shortly after that, we traded blows for a couple of turns and then the dreaded hit and run combo rolled out 8 damage with the resolve for the win. We both knew if he missed there I was probably going to get him next action or two. 2-1

Round 4 - Anakin/Jar Jar/Rose/ Ezra(the Blue one)

Aqainst my old Nemesis, Menion.... He loves mill, but this set up looked like it could go vehicles or mill. Either way, Jar Jar has to die. It was a tight game after watching the first couple turns, it was clear that ezra was the engine for the deck but Jar jar can be so disruptive that he had to be the target, even in a deck with 50% sides. Killed Jar jar turn one, tried to bluff going after Anakin, then turned and took down Ezra, finished off Anakin, and then Rose. This is a scary mill deck wit h31 starting health and i Probably went through 15-20 shields it felt like. 3-1

Round 5 - Rex/Clone Trooper/Hired Gun

This was the deck that won the Store Champ at my store a week or so back. So I knew how it worked but Had not gotten any reps against it. I had an idea of attack so I went with that after testing with Rex a little myself. So turn one, I go straight at the clone trooper. Making Rex pay 1 to claim the battlefield is super painful, especially if they don't have their battlefield in play. Which was the exact position we were in. After killing the Clone, I think I took down Rex and then the Hired Gun. 4-1

Top 8 - vs Yoda/Hondo(undefeated in Swiss)

So I got paired against the undefeated deck in swiss which scared me a bit. I didn't expect Hondo with the amount of resources flying around. But his plan was solid and he cleared all the Snoke/Thrawn and Snoke/Tarkins out of the way. His draw was less than stellar. He got good mitigation, but not much in the way of upgrades and his dice that had been pretty hot all day finally ran out of gas. I nuked Hondo, turn 2, i think, and put 6 damage on to Yoda, and he finished off Luke the same turn. I had one Syncro in my hand and drew the second one at the end of the turn. He did a good job of mitigating my dice for 2 turns until I finally force speed into a double Syncro play for the win 5-1

Top 4 - Menion's Mill deck again

Very similar game to the first one, killed Jar Jar first, then Ezra, Anakin, and Rose. This deck was a tough match up and I hope I never see that deck again. 6-1

Finals - Luke3/Rey2

This was a really fun match that went back and forth. His Ramp turn one was excellent. he got out 2 "Your Eyes Can Deceive You" and hit a couple resource sides to drop a shoto on Rey after I committed my damage to Luke(I think I put 4 or 6 damage on Luke turn 1) so I Knew I had to switch to Rey Turn 2 or she was going to be very problematic. He Kills Aayla turn 2, so I have Luke against Luke and Rey, I drew the Mitigation I needed to keep him off Luke for a turn and was able to kill Rey. Then it was my full health Luke vs his 8 health Luke. I also had been able to get Luke geared up with a redeploy of an Hierloom saber, Obi's saber and a Lightbow. This deck was the exact reason I wanted those upgrades and they proved to be the difference. We went until there were only a couple cards left for both of us and once his mitigation was mostly gone it was a matter of time before the rolls caught up to him. 7-1

Any meta adjustments post gencon?

Scactha 888

Also running this and actually not liking the sticks. With Wave/Training/Makashi (plus Ezra´s saber and a single R2) there´s about a bonus die every turn. Wave is especially nice in the current 3 char meta.

The nicest thing is this pair doesn´t have any fail sides but and Aaylas / sides are more satisfying than Yodas whiffing //.
