RRG 1.5 has opened the door for mono color decks to make a comeback, and the emo twins are no exception. Until the rivals version of Darth Vader - Dark Apprentice comes out, creating the new version 2.0, we look back on the original tournament juggernaut for inspiration.

New gadgets! The deck now features the Crossguard Lightsaber and Ancient Lightsaber for upgrades in place of Lightsaber and Makashi Training. Both aren’t just less expensive (freeing up card slots originally used by It Binds All Things), but are overall better suited to the deck. Each has a solid, mid-range die and the crossguard grants free damage when equipped to Kylo Ren - Vader's Disciple. It also swaps Force Choke out for Mind Probe in the Sith Holocron suite to capitalize on damage potential or draw an opponent’s attention away from other potent and dice.

Refitted suite! With all the new cards introduced in the 2P box, Empire At War, and the rules reference guide, there’s been an overhaul. Intimidate comes in as a zero cost to rip away shields for unhindered damage, Rend is introduced to deal with the, albeit nerfed but still pesky, Imperial Inspection, other holocrons, or the new Hero favorite, Running Interference. Unyielding has also been introduced, replacing No Mercy as a big swing card if you happen to roll a fair amount of or between character and upgrade .
