There is hope. You too can recover from the shock of having 16 cards removed from the top of your deck, or having your precious Kylo Crime-lorded.

Been playing against @smerle and his Thrawnker mill deck for the last few weeks and consistently losing. Tried Sabine Wren - Explosives Expert, she got Crime Lorded. Tried Darth Vader - Sith Lord, same problem, or Detention Center which somehow felt worse. Tried Hera Syndulla - Phoenix Leader, and her vehicles went bye-bye in a gross buy-out. There were others. They are all wondering where their cards went. @smerle said he knew it could lose, it just needed to take a lot of fast damage.

So, I dug out my old friends who haven't seen a game since EaW came out.

Here's the idea. Thrawnker likes 2 things: shields and money. You need a way to consistently get rid of them. Poe Dameron - Ace Pilot needs cheap vehicles for his ability to really shine, and we finally got one with the Y-Wing in EaW, and it just so happens you can use it to remove resources too. Use Truce to get it out there fast, preferably with a Poe special. If you are worried about it getting kicked from your hand, then just straight up buy it. If you can't get a Y-wing, get a BD-1 Cutter Vibro-AX and slap it on Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen. She can use it every turn to rip the shields off your opponent. Kill Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer first. If he gets a Crime Lord, you can say goodbye to Poe. If Thrawn - Master Strategist has a focus showing, don't claim. Wait for Ace in the Hole, and then get rid of that Crime Lord die.

Against @smerle this week, I was hit with Prized Possession on Poe turn one. Managed to get a Y-wing out both games, and then just used the special to peel away health, shields and resources, preventing a major Buy Out. It felt good after so many losses.

One thing I didn't get to try is using Cunning to reverse Crime Lord. That could have been a lot of fun.

This isn't going to win you games against high damage decks, but if you're meta is full of people eating your deck in one turn, give this a run. Credit to @smerle for smoking me repeatedly.
