ForceSquad 346

Hi everyone! Matteo from Force Squad here ;) Today I wanna show you the deck I piloted to manage the win at a local Win a Box Tournament. I know the list is a bit old but I wanted the deck to be a surprise for the upcoming events; however it is super competitive right now! The deck is really funny and strong if well piloted, and has a lot of tricks that can blow your opponents out. The deck is based on a previous list I played before Legacies, when Kanan was the master instead of Yoda, and there are only minor changes (even if some of them are crucial). Here's the principal card choices:

  • Yoda: I tried him in place of Kanan Jarrus feeling not that confident because of the damage sides Yoda lacks, but the shields/resources generation allowed by the Space Leprechaun, besides the beautiful interaction he has with Force Speed, led me to keep him. It was a fantastic choice.
  • Concentrate: Whom has seen the Kanan version knows that there was Use The Force instead of this card, but I never wanted to change oppontent's dice so I asked me "why not focus 2 of mine"? Rey's inconsistency and Yoda's ability in producing resources took me to the answer.
  • No Cheating: I thought a lot on this card. We saw that a lot of decks ran Force Speed, and we wanted to try out this cards since the beginning; this was the right tournament to do that. It was a poor choice until the final, against Sabine, when 4 extra damages took me to the win.

The rest of the cards are well explained in the previous list, so check it out if you want to know more ;) And now the report! The tournament was a few weeks ago so the rounds could be confused, but I've tried my best to remember them :)

Round 1: Win vs eHondo/eRey with Profitable Connection. Rey's ability made really difficult controlling Hondo, but Yoda made enough resources to take care of the businessman and put down my beatsticks. My very first contact with a really good character.

Round 2: Win vs eAayla/Padawan/Jedi Temple Guard with Fortify. A similar deck with a completely different strategy, focused on shields generation; he made a 3 weapons Padawan behind 3 shields but an action cheated 3+2+2 with Vibroknife made the game.

Round 3: Win vs eBoba/ePhasma: Although Rey took 8 damage on round 1 when she came down Boba did the same, and Phasma alone wasn't able to overcome a fully armed Padawan with Yoda helping her.

Round 4: Win vs eKallus/eTalzin piloted by Giangi alias Bad Destiny. A very close game concluded by Kallus' inability on hitting damage in 4 consecutive rolls, so sad for him.

Top 4: Win vs eZeb/eKanan piloted by my teammate Fabio! Would have been better to face him in the finals, but at least 2 of them made the top cut ;) Good Close Quarters Assaults for me reduced a lot his options and made the game easy for me.

Final: Win vs eSabine/Yoda. I had a great game 1, concluded by a lethal damage on Sabine equipped with an Illusion unable in absorbing damage (no deck remaining for him in this case). On game 2 Sabine was on fire, and nobody can do nothing in this case. Game 3 ended at time, and my cure/survival ability added to 4 free damage were enough to take the win.

That's all for this report! I had a lot of fun playing this tournament, which ended in the best way :) I want to thank every attendant to the tournament, because all of them contribute in making the local community really great. Goodbye!
